Deb's Celtic World

Welcome to my World
|
Welcome home :-)
I was born a Cameron. My friends call me Debi. The closest call me Brat. Have travelled many places, and seen many things. But through it all, the Scot I was born, and am proud to be, is but a small part o' this world. The Celt that I am blessed ta be made o'.... that's what makes life so beautiful. The love o' the music that flows ta the soul. Words o' those who write so sweetly, can make one wish ta cry. This shall be a page o' the Celtic history. And perhaps, at times, the life of a Scot Lass. So, welcome ta those that be here. And make yerselves at home.

The sheer scope of the Celtic world has endured fer over a millennium. We have ebbed and flowed - a group o' loosely knit tribes, Clans - who've had great power! And very little. We were, and remain, a people who stick srongly ta what we believe
Scrappers, Aye!! Lovers? Wi' a great passion!!! Our past, from the Irish, who were able ta, and nae ta kindly, turf the Vikings oot!! Aye, Stan?? And the Great Scots, who would fight a battle wi' naught but some cabres and even large stones... and at their celebrations, dance ta the flutes and the bodhrans, and would jump o'er bonfires in their tartans ta show their joy, or their love fer their lass.
This be just a part o' what we are. And to those of us, who wear their tartans with pride, or carry their clan pledges, or just place then aboot, so others can see.... to you: Ta tu go halainn!!!!

Celtic Music
|
Our music. We ken it well. The whistles, the Bodhran..and I made one!! With help from a Great Scot. The fiddles. The Pipes, so many kinds. Our music, from the sweet and gentle Gaelic, to the haunting laments...Scots, of course, to the lively Irish. The words, the vocals, touch our souls and moods so magically. Our music, played by so many, in such different ways. And as we gather together, when the music is played... all who are there, who truly can feel it, climb inside, and wish it would never end. It started so long ago, with but few objects ta make the sound, and yet, has carried on forever.
Ach, the pipes... well, for the few of ya who dinnae care much fer them, and ya ken who ya be, shall write as requested, the following. Nae.If ya dinnae remember the joke aboot the onion and the bagpipes, shall send over some pipers ta remind ya!!
